Human Support Services
At ImagineAbility, we understand that all our client employees have different needs. We pride ourselves on providing support services for people with a wide range of intellectual disabilities, each designed to provide a nurturing environment, to build skills, and to assist the individual to become a valued and contributing member of the community. We believe that everyone, whatever their ability, can benefit from a program tailored to their advantage.
Supported Employment
Work outside ImagineAbility facilities, within the larger community, with client employees supported by dedicated ImagineAbility staff members. For client employees whose ability favours placement outside a sheltered work environment, our Supported Employment program offers a managed, first step toward true independence and integration into the community.
Sheltered Work
A sheltered, stable work environment within anImagineAbility facility where clients employees can engage in product assembly, packaging, provision of food services, shredding and recycling. Many of our client employees find deep satisfaction in working within the ImagineAbility environment, earning a wage, engaged in productive work.
Transition Services
Programs designed to provide work-related training and living experience to client employees who require a higher degree of individual support, focused primarily on packaging and assembly work. Our transition client employees develop the skills and independence required to engage life fully. A low client employee to staff ratio allows us to provide more intensive support for each person in the program.
Community Networks
Designed for people living with complex disabilities, providing the necessary training, activities and support to maximize independent living skills. Focusing on communication skills, community access, health and wellness, leisure and recreation, and vocational opportunities, program participants may utilize some or all of the program options depending on their unique needs.
