Congratulations to Hot 103FM 2009 Triathlon and Versatech Industries Winners!

"I'm happy that I got picked to go in the Hot 103 Triatholon for Versatech Industries. We made first place in our heat. I did the snowshoeing because I was all practiced up from the Special Olympics. My family is very proud of me! We won concert tickets to Taylor Swift, movie passes to Race to Witch Mountain and a key chain, a Jump Rope for Heart bag and thermal lunch kit and a trophy! Me, Serge and Richard Doyle were all on the same team." Leaha Van Steelant

"Our Versatech Team #1 consisted of Leaha, Richard and myself. We had a great team with Leaha starting the race on her snowshoes. She did a fantastic job and had great endurance! The banner was then passed to Richard Doyle, who ran a very good race. I then saw Richard coming near the checkpoint, his face was red and frosted in many places and the banner was transferred to me. The ice trail was in pretty fair condition as I skated along the river. It was a long race and halfway through I was hoping for a huge gust of wind to push me in the right directions but it never came. We finished the race in third place. We had tough competition from the other team in which one was the Canadian Men's Flag Football Team. After all the teams completed the race, we all received movie passes, concert tickets and our picture on the HOT 103 website and a trophy. HOT 103's Ace Burpee and Chrissy Troy were at the event and they did a great job.
